Meet Robin and Eric Bishop
Life Long Declutterers, Repurposers, and DIYers
"Hygge is about an atmosphere and an experience, rather than about things. It is about being with the people we love. A feeling of home. A feeling that we are safe, that we are shielded from the world and allow ourselves to let our guard down." ~ Meik Wiking, CEO of the Happiness Research Institute
Welcome to The Edited Home, where our Editors bring the cozy, down-to-earth vibe of Danish philosophy to your spaces through decluttering, personalized design, and seasonal home management. We take the time to really listen to what you want, creating spaces that feel like you—warm, comfortable, and perfect for kicking back with family or friends. Our team, with their knack for organization and creative problem-solving, helps sort through your stuff, keep what sparks joy, repurpose treasures, and donate the rest, all while making your home feel like a true haven. We’re pros at opening and closing seasonal homes, managing projects, keeping household staff on track, and handling insurance inventories, always with a focus on keeping things stress-free and secure. From scheduling maintenance to dealing with utilities or vendors, we’ve got the details covered with care and trustworthiness, so you can enjoy a home that’s cozy and functional year-round. pricing
As much as we know people like to have an idea before they jump into an endeavor, we truly work on a custom pricing basis, dependent on the size, scope, budget, and time necessary for each project.

We will provide estimates after the initial 60-minute free consult and work with our clients to customize a package to their scope and budget. It may be an hourly rate, flat rate, or monthly retainer based on client goals. We will work with our clients on what is the best fit for them.

testimonials
“I just can't get over how big my garden shed looks, how functional it now is, and how wonderful the new color is!
I've worked with The Edited Home on several projects over the years. They are always authentic, encouraging, imaginative, and diligent in accomplishing the goal.
I wouldn't hestiate to recommend them to anyone. The Edited Home got me. They understood what I wanted without me knowing exactly how to tell them what I wanted. Honest, reliable, innovative, hard-working, they're just fabulous.”
Sally C. Post Falls, ID
“For 22 years I lived in a big house and accumulated lots of stuff. Robin came to consult and counsel as we worked through massive amounts of stuff. Eric came in and carried out the reimagined plan. In the middle of the vast cull, we decided to downsize to a home half the size. It was agony to let go of some of the things I'd inherited from my family; "keep the memory, let go of the things" Robin helped me realize, without completing throwing everything out. The Bishops did a great job and kept at it until we were settled in our new home.”
Malena W, Spokane, WA
